The project is built almost entirely from wooden pallets, chosen as a readily available and easily recyclable material. Rather than treating the pallet as a temporary support, the set-up turns it into a modular architectural element: a system of platforms, plinths, walls, and structures that can be assembled and reconfigured according to different spatial conditions.
The decision to work with a limited material vocabulary was also a way to reduce production costs, minimise waste, and allow the exhibition infrastructure to have a life beyond a single installation.
The resulting system is deliberately simple and open-ended, allowing the same elements to generate different configurations while accommodating objects, moving images, and the different activities that shaped RADICA’s programme.
A temporary exhibition infrastructure designed not as a disposable backdrop, but as a flexible and ecological system that can move, adapt, and be reused.
